Excellent Warren, a subject close to my heart. I had meant to extend an invite to you to come down out of the mountains to here in the Hunter Valley to participate in Kate's talk on the future of food, which we set up, but time slipped away and suddenly we had overfilled our numbers. It was an inspiring day and I should add mostly filled with dissident boomers. Very important we connect human to human in this age, tech draws us together but pushes us apart, if you see what I mean.

When I came to Australia over 40 years ago, living in Sydney and driving to work in Glebe there was a long brick wall on the roadside. Someone had daubed in white paint....in the days when graffiti carried a message...."ALL AUSTRALIANS ARE SHEEP". I remember thinking, how can this be so ? Aussies are larrikins, thumb their nose at authorities, stand up for the little guy and so on. But no, 40 years of experience of this country has put paid to that myth. As Clive James once said, Australia was built by convicts but more importantly overseen by jailers. That i believe is the foundation of our socially compliant national character.

Empire says jump, our craven elected representatives say how far and what do I get out of it. We ship our mining resources out for peanuts, we cave to every global central demand by instilling in the citizenry a fear of some indefinable abstract lurking danger which might upset our safe and comfortable lives. All the while making our lives less comfortable and safe in the frog in slow boiling water way.

I am a guilt free aussie boomer now, but I am very concerned for the newer generation coming through so thoroughly schooled in the methods of "The Long March". It is incumbent on those of us who were properly educated...reading writing and arithmetic....to encourage objective free thinking in our communities, to shake off the shackles of the Leviathan and become healthy informed members of a productive and free society. Something like that, in the short time we have left. That is a useful boomer, don't you think?

As you say, interacting in person rather than via screens is something we have to cultivate. On the larrikin thing, it occurs to me that it is a little bit being a naughty boy or doing something behind your boss's back. It is a reaction rather than action. I guess that says something. James is right.

The level of betrayal by our political has surprised me but many had a clearer understanding than I did. I used to think we just had to rid of the troublemakers and voila, Utopia.

The future you describe for the younger generation is a very real concern that I share with you. The conditioning is aimed at them. For example, I cannot get into Instagram. It has censored my details more heavily and I think that is because the sort of things I would put on there would conflict with the agenda. Yes, I am just a small player but that emphasises how desperate they are to control the agenda.

On being useful, I must admit to being an unfinished product but am working on it.

Do you know the work of JJ Couey? I think he is onto something. If you watch it, skip the first half hour where he seems to be appealing to a younger audience. He then plays a 1999 video with some Larouche people (influence on current Citizens Party) and discusses the links between H G Wells and now. He is also savage on a range of our modern day heroes.

I don't know about you but I found that Matt Barrie video compelling. The level of mismanagement is astounding. Have you had any success in engaging with local politicians. We have Labor at the Council, State and Federal level. They feel immune to challenge.

They are immune to challenge, Warren, as you will have seen in my latest email to you.

Reporting the misdemeanours and outbursts of rage and hubris of greenshill to the Minister for Local Government has cost me dear. Be nice to have a 6 figure salary with a portfolio without any power or moral responsibility, wouldn't it?

We are dealing with psychopaths. We know that. They tried to kill or maim us all.

Their dismissive contempt is breathtaking.

However I am taller than long grass and they can kick all they like.

TeeCee, I love the analogy. Their contempt surely is that.

Thanks, Simon, for an excellent summary of where we are. Will reply more fully later.

Excellent piece!

To get a visual of the negative impacts of current policies we only need to go back and look at the contrast between East and West Berlin.

Here is an excellent short documentary showing the differences in both the political and economical spheres.

Australians MUST wake up!

Thanks Anthony. I will have a look. You are right that we must wake up before we face a nightmare.
