Another great article exposing the lies Warren it doesn’t take much investigation to discover the truth just listening to past taped council meetings is proof enough.. Mark is afraid of his own shadow and what the general population of the Blue Mountains will do when they find out what he and his cronies have been peddling or maybe he’s more scared of the consequences of not following through with his directives from his puppet masters .. either way it’s not the ‘right wing extremists’ he should be concerned about after all they are the ones trying to help tip him off.. silly silly man he is .. upside down world we live in 🤦♀️
Don't you love the ABC, spreading the idea that people from the community who disagree with council policy are "disrupting community engagement"! Like...huh? Oh, I see: "community engagement" is supposed to be "community agreement". Got it...Do these people actually hear what is coming out of their mouths?
It gets worse. A friend wrote to the ABC Ombudsman. Some woman named Alice Tong. Does anyone know her. She replied with perfect drivel. Greenhill merely said that people occupied Council chambers. It was the ABC that framed it as terrorism. They did his dirty work.
Some years ago I did. I am really not in a position to do so now. There are a few problems for anyone thinking about doing this. Now, that it has become a party dominated Council, anyone who represents the community is an outsider.
The person who stands will be set up by Council to fail or even be made out a fool. There will be little real assistance from staff and a huge volume of material to take in. This is easy for the party aligned Councillor because they can draw on their party's research or more often simply follow the party's or the mayor's direction.
You are guaranteed a miserable time. I admire anyone who takes it on in a serious way and tries to represent the public interest.
Also to say, we are seeing the results of the labelling of dissenters to the narrative as "far right extremists" playing out right now in England. Remove Two-Tier-Keir Starmer's hair and he looks a lot like your cartoon of BMCC mayor. Same hatred and disdain in his eyes and set of his face. Label, divide, set people against one another (Facebook to start with) then destroy. Starmer has announced a "standing army" to deal with dissenters. Greengills must be licking the slaver from his chops.
That happened to two women who were elected to council in Qld. They couldn't handle the exclusion and bullying and stepped down. Similar things in UK. Graham Hood and John Larter recently interviewed John Ruddick on this issue, among others, Libertarian party trying to get onto councils, candidate standing in Penrith. I've seen their council at work. Good luck.
Seems Greenwaste has been at it again. Whilst I found I disliked Matthew Jacobson (One Nation) after meeting and talking to him at your Meet the Candidates day, and so glad of the opportunity to do so thank you because I had been of a mind to vote for him, I think the mayor's treatment of him (and his barbs against Mike Creed on Greenwaste's FB page) are disgraceful. In this article, ostensibly about corflutes, Jacobson reports what happened when he extended a cordial hand to the mayor by phoning and introducing himself.
It would be far more befitting of his position as mayor of the community representing and respecting all viewpoints if he remained neutral and wished all contestants well, like the beginning of a tennis match or something, good sportsmanship, even while he still openly supported Templeman. He is vile.
This is very, very dirty politicking. Susan Templeman got around 56% of the votes, which means 44% of the community either didn't vote for her or didn't vote at all, turnout failure was about 30% across the nation according to reports I've read. It's been a tight race in the past and we've had Liberal federal MPs here in my time (Louise Markus). Of course Greenwaste doesn't mention that. He just once again dismisses anyone who doesn't vote Labor as faaaar right, racist, -ist, -phobe, -denier. This division in the community is stoked by him and to me it feels like a toxic community starting at the top.

Hand in glove
Have you thought of standing for council election, Warren?

I noticed that Tee. The Labour Party again. Of course, that is what Strengthening Australia's Democracy from Home Affairs is about.
Interesting but ?
